So, you want to be a Director? (or Music Director or Choreographer...) To be considered, the following should be submitted to the Board of Directors: * A cover letter expressing your interest, with attached theatrical resume. * Supporting documentation, such as reviews and programs. * If available, video of a show you've directed. * A list of references. These items can be mailed or hand-delivered to: The Music Box Dinner Playhouse 196 Hughes Street Swoyersville, PA. 18704 The Music Box Board of Directors meets every month, at the Playhouse. (Meeting dates are often announced on our News page.) Letters of interest will be presented to the Board at the next meeting, and the Production Committee may need additional time to review the supporting materials before making a recommendation, so it is best to submit your package as early as possible. If selected, a director new to the Music Box will be required to work with a "mentor" director selected by the Board. This mentor, familiar with the expectations of The Music Box Players, is an aid to the new Director. Because the Music Box has such a full production schedule, rehearsal periods are short, intense, and must be productive from day one, while balancing cast personalities and availability.
